The Director drives cost competitiveness, private-label development, product quality, supplier performance, innovation, and supply-chain resilience in support of the company's growth strategy.

This is a senior procurement leadership position requiring deep knowledge of the automotive aftermarket and strong relationships with regional manufacturers.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Procurement & Reynosa Operations — Lead and develop the procurement and buyer team supporting the Reynosa facility; ensure uninterrupted supply of direct materials, partner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality, and drive process improvements that support production and new product introductions.

  • North American & Nearshore Sourcing Strategy — Develop and execute sourcing strategies across North, Central, and South America; identify and diversify suppliers, evaluate nearshoring opportunities, and establish category-specific sourcing strategies for underhood product lines.

  • Cost & Commercial Management — Own supplier negotiations (pricing, terms, tooling, rebates, agreements); maintain should-cost models and deliver annual PPV, cost savings, and margin-improvement objectives.

  • Supplier Development & Performance — Build strategic supplier relationships, manage qualification and onboarding, and drive performance through scorecards (quality, delivery, cost, capacity, responsiveness) and corrective action programs.

  • Product Launch & Program Management — Support sourcing for new product launches and expansions — RFQs, sample approvals, tooling, and launch readiness — in partnership with Product Management, Engineering, and Quality.

  • Supply Chain Resilience & Risk Management — Identify and mitigate supplier, country, and capacity risks; build dual-source and contingency strategies and lead supplier risk assessments and business continuity planning.

  • Compliance & Governance — Ensure compliance with procurement policy and delegated authority; maintain supplier agreements and ensure adherence to company ethics, sustainability, and quality standards.

  • Leadership & Organizational Development — Lead, coach, and develop the Reynosa procurement organization; build succession plans and a high-performance culture, and foster collaboration across Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and Engineering.
