about the role
This is an exciting job opportunity for you as a Commercial Ops Specialist to be based in Monterrey, Mexico with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting. Supports the execution of trade compliance and customs operations by ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and internal standards, contributing to efficient and compliant cross-border supply chain activities.
• Executes day-to-day customs and trade compliance activities in alignment with internal procedures and external regulations.
• Maintains accurate trade compliance data (e.g., HS classification, country of origin, ECCN). Ensures NOM Compliance (NOM File Management, works hand in hand with COE for classification, Product Management for Certifications and Freight Forwarder to comply). Coordinates with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure timely and compliant import/export operations. Oversees that all Freight Forwarder operations are being done with best quality standards and tracks main KPI's to ensure proper level of service. Manages Horus portal for expo documentation.
• Monitors and reports on trade compliance metrics and documentation accuracy. Supports internal and external audits by providing required documentation and clarifications.
• Assists in the implementation of trade compliance programs and process improvements. Tracks regulatory changes and escalates potential compliance risks to management.
• Manages and coordinates the PO administration and spend control, provides input to the Risk and Standards Trade and Customs Program manager. More about you
• 1+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs regulations, or supply chain logistics.
• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or equivalent certification is an advantage.
