Solstice Advanced Materials is seeking a LATAM Logistics Manager to lead logistics execution and strategy across the Latin America region.
The role will be responsible for developing and executing the regional logistics strategy, improving customer service and cost-to-serve, increasing asset productivity, and strengthening logistics processes and provider performance across LATAM.
Reporting to the Global Logistics Director, the LATAM Logistics Manager will work closely with Commercial, Customer Experience, Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, Operations, Finance and Trade Compliance to ensure logistics supports the growth and changing requirements of the business.
Responsibilities
Regional Logistics Strategy and Leadership
• Develop and execute the LATAM logistics strategy aligned with business growth, customer requirements and the global logistics strategy.
• Serve as the primary regional point of contact for Logistics across LATAM and the key interface with regional Commercial, Customer Experience, Planning, Operations and Finance teams. Operational Performance and Customer Service
• Lead logistics performance across road, ocean, rail, air and intermodal transportation, as well as regional warehousing operations, within and into/out of LATAM.
• Manage regional logistics providers, including carriers, freight forwarders, rail providers, warehouses and terminals, establishing clear performance expectations and escalation processes. Cost, Productivity and Asset Management
• Own initiatives to reduce regional cost-to-serve and deliver logistics productivity.
• Develop and implement savings opportunities in partnership with Logistics Procurement and regional stakeholders. Trade Compliance and Regional Requirements
• Partner with Trade Compliance and the business to support customs, import/export, quota and other regulatory requirements affecting LATAM logistics.
• Ensure logistics processes appropriately address country-specific documentation and operational requirements. Process Improvement and Transformation
• Develop and standardize regional logistics processes and SOPs.
• Establish clear performance management and governance with freight forwarders, carriers, rail providers, warehouses, terminals and other logistics partners. Qualifications Experience and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant logistics or supply chain experience; OR a minimum of 10 years of relevant logistics or supply chain experience in lieu of a degree.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish is required; proficiency in Portuguese is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing transportation and logistics operations, ideally across multiple countries or complex international supply chains.
• Experience with ocean and road transportation; exposure to rail, warehousing, air, intermodal, customs or international trade flows is advantageous.
• Experience managing logistics providers and using KPIs to drive performance improvement.
• Experience managing Dangerous Goods (DG) transportation and associated regulatory requirements is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of logistics cost, service, working-capital and operational trade-offs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems and logistics reporting or analytics tools is advantageous. Professional Attributes
