Supervise and develop electrical and instrumentation aspects of dry vacuum pump systems and liquid ring pumps/compressors, ensuring compliance with safety, technical correctness, budget, and project schedule objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engineering and Design
•
• Review and interpret electrical and instrumentation specifications, ensuring adherence to global standards and safety codes.
• Develop electrical schematics, bill of materials (BOM), control panel drawings, junction boxes, and ladder logic diagrams.
• Prepare or support control narratives and operating sequences. Review and Technical Validation
•
• Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and bills of materials.
• Validate P&ID diagrams, process flow diagrams, electrical schematics, and ladder logic according to project requirements.
• Integrate electrical specifications into DCS and PLC system wiring diagrams. Project Execution & Coordination
•
• Technically direct designers and technicians from conceptual design through production and testing.
• Coordinate interfaces with engineering, procurement, quality assurance, and production.
• Resolve technical issues in a timely manner and with quality. Quoting and Supplier Management
•
• Review quotes and supplier proposals. Operational Discipline (applies to all positions)
•
• Provide technical content for electrical, instrumentation, and control sections of final user IOM manuals.
• Follow SGC policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Maintain work areas clean and orderly (5S).
• Report continuous improvement opportunities and non-conformities.
• Meet assigned key performance indicators (KPIs) and corrective actions on time. REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation & Control, Mechatronics, or related from an accredited university. Professional
experience:
• 3 to 5 years in industrial electrical design; experience preferred in process industries, industrial manufacturing, energy, chemical, Oil & Gas, EPC, or other industries with electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. Specific Knowledge / Conocimientos específicos:
• Instrumentation (control valves, flow/pressure/temperature/level transmitters), process tubings, liquid pumps, motors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels; applicable national and international standards: NEC, NFPA, CSA, FM, and UL; P&ID, process flow diagrams, electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, DCS and PLC; E-Plan, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and network topology/software; Windows and related IT tools. Other skills and experiences:
• English required, minimum B1, desirable B2 or higher.
• Solid electrical aptitude; rigorous attention to detail and quality; analysis; interpretation of specifications; problem solving; technical communication; multidisciplinary and global collaboration; safety HSE/HFE orientation; organization and change management; effective communication; proactivity; teamwork; results-oriented; priority management; adaptability and resilience. #LI-JB1
