Querétaro, México Siemens Energy Jornada completa
A Snapshot of Your Day You start by reviewing the project quality dashboard, customer requirements, inspection and test status, open nonconformances, supplier performance, and key risks for the day. You align with the Project Manager, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, site, and commissioning teams on quality priorities and upcoming hold points. You may lead a quality gate, review a supplier inspection plan, support a customer witness point, facilitate root-cause analysis, or verify closure of corrective actions. Throughout the day, you maintain the Project Quality Plan, provide transparent status and escalation, and ensure lessons learned are embedded—serving as the independent quality voice from tender handover through project execution and closeout. How You’ll Make an Impact
• Own project quality management from tender handover and contract review through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and closeout.
• Translate contractual, customer, regulatory, and internal requirements into an approved, risk-based Project Quality Plan and measurable quality objectives.
• Advise the Project Manager and core team on quality risks, opportunities, resources, cost of poor quality, schedule impacts, and required preventive actions.
• Plan and facilitate quality gates, reviews, audits, inspections, and readiness assessments; ensure objective evidence supports milestone release.
• Drive quality planning across engineering deliverables, configuration and change control, procurement, supplier quality, manufacturing, logistics, construction, and commissioning.
• Define and coordinate inspection and test plans, hold and witness points, acceptance criteria, documentation requirements, and customer notifications.
• Monitor supplier and subcontractor quality performance; coordinate qualification, surveillance, source inspection, improvement actions, and escalation with Supplier Quality Management.
• Lead nonconformance management, concession and deviation workflows, containment, root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive action, and effectiveness verification.
• Track and report leading and lagging quality indicators, analyze trends, and provide transparent status and timely escalation to project and business leadership.
• Promote prevention, right-first-time execution, lessons learned, and quality culture through coaching, workshops, and visible engagement with project teams and partners.
• Coordinate quality interfaces with customers, consortium partners, authorities, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal functions; support claims and change management with quality evidence.
• Ensure complete, accurate, and timely quality records, turnover dossiers, final documentation, customer acceptance, and project quality closeout. What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated +5 years of experience in quality management on complex EPC, power transmission and distribution, substation, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, or comparable industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, project quality planning, auditing, inspection and testing, supplier quality, nonconformance management, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to interpret contracts, customer specifications, standards, drawings, and technical documentation and convert them into practical quality controls.
• Experience influencing Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, manufacturing, site teams, suppliers, and contractors in multicultural and matrix organizations.
• Strong customer orientation, independent judgment, communication, facilitation, structured problem-solving, and the confidence to challenge or stop release when requirements are not met.
• Competence with digital quality reporting, document and configuration control, action tracking, dashboards, and data-driven performance reviews.
• Recognized quality certification such as ASQ CQE/CMQ-OE, IRCA/Exemplar Global ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel to project sites, customer locations, factories, and suppliers as required.
