About The Role
What if your ability to truly listen could shape the future of artificial intelligence? We're looking for Audio Transcription Specialists to convert spoken audio into accurate written text — data that directly trains AI systems to better understand how humans communicate. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong listening skills and a sharp eye for detail. No professional transcription experience required. What You'll Do
Transcribe audio recordings into accurate, well-formatted written text following clear guidelines Handle a variety of audio types — different accents, speaking speeds, and recording qualities Apply consistent formatting, punctuation, and speaker-labeling conventions Flag unclear or inaudible segments and note speaker changes where relevant Meet quality and turnaround targets for each assigned batch of audio Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule Who You Are A strong, focused listener who catches nuance and detail in spoken language Comfortable typing accurately at a reasonable pace Patient and methodical when working through challenging audio (accents, background noise, overlapping speakers) Able to follow detailed style and formatting guidelines consistently Self-motivated and reliable when working independently No prior transcription or AI experience required Nice to Have Previous experience with transcription tools or audio software Familiarity with different English accents or multilingual audio Background in journalism, linguistics, media production, or accessibility work Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you Freelance autonomy with meaningful, task-based work that has real impact Contribute to AI development that improves how technology understands human voices Potential for ongoing work and contract extensions as new audio projects launch
