Job Overview
The BCS sub-vertical within the Industrial Business Unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Product Engineer II focusing on cable assembly product ownership, product lifecycle management, customer-driven engineering changes, and technical leadership for existing product families.
What Your Background Should Look Like
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in product engineering or cable assembly manufacturing.
• Experience with wire harnesses, connectors, terminals, and cable assemblies.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle and change management processes.
• Experience leading technical projects.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of crimping, wire processing, cable preparation, and assembly operations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• English proficiency required.
Key Responsibilities
• Own and support a portfolio of cable assembly products throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead engineering changes, product transfers, and qualification activities.
• Drive cross-functional cost reduction and quality improvement projects.
• Improve manufacturability, reliability, and product performance.
• Coordinate qualification testing and customer approvals.
• Support global manufacturing locations in technical issue resolution.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain product specifications, drawings, and BOMs.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, and customer teams.
• Standardize cable assembly designs and manufacturing practices.
