About the Position Custodio & Dubey LLP (CD LAW), a growing Los Angeles law firm, is seeking an experienced, dependable, and bilingual After-Hours Receptionist & Intake Specialist to join our remote team in Mexico. This position is ideal for someone who has previous experience working remotely with a U.
S.-based personal injury law firm and is comfortable communicating professionally with clients in both English and Spanish. The After-Hours Receptionist & Intake Specialist will handle incoming calls after our regular Los Angeles office hours, screen prospective clients, complete detailed intakes, follow up with potential clients, and assist qualified leads with signing retainer agreements. Our firm primarily handles Personal Injury (PI) and Habitability/Landlord-Tenant matters in California. Responsibilities
• Answer incoming calls promptly, professionally, and confidently.
• Communicate with prospective and existing clients in both English and Spanish.
• Screen prospective Personal Injury and Habitability clients.
• Collect and accurately document relevant case information.
• Complete detailed intake questionnaires.
• Enter, organize, and update leads in Lead Docket and other firm systems.
• Identify qualified, high-priority, or urgent leads and escalate them appropriately.
• Schedule consultations and explain next steps to prospective clients.
• Follow up with prospective clients by telephone, text message, and email.
• Send retainer agreements for electronic signature.
• Monitor outstanding retainer agreements and follow up until completed.
• Route non-intake calls to the appropriate department and take detailed messages when necessary.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive client information.
• Remain available, responsive, and attentive throughout the entire scheduled shift.
• Work independently while maintaining consistent communication with the U.
S.-based team. Required Qualifications
• At least 1 year of experience as an Intake Specialist for a U.
S.-based Personal Injury law firm.
• Fluent English and Spanish — both verbal and written.
• Strong English pronunciation and ability to communicate confidently with U.
S.-based clients.
• Professional, confident, compassionate, and friendly telephone presence.
• Experience screening prospective Personal Injury clients and identifying potentially viable cases.
• Experience completing detailed legal intakes.
• Experience following up with prospective clients by phone, text, and email.
• Experience sending retainer agreements through VineSign, DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Sign, or a comparable electronic signature platform.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.
• Ability to handle difficult or sensitive conversations calmly and professionally.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection.
• Reliable computer and professional headset.
• Quiet and private workspace suitable for handling confidential client calls. Software Experience Experience with some or all of the following is strongly preferred:

• Previous experience working remotely for a California Personal Injury law firm.
• Familiarity with California Personal Injury intake procedures.
• Experience handling Habitability or Landlord-Tenant intakes.
• Experience converting qualified leads into signed clients.
• Experience using Filevine and Lead Docket.
• Previous receptionist or high-volume legal call experience. Interview Process 1. Application Review Applicants must submit an updated resume clearly showing relevant U.
S. Personal Injury intake experience. 2. Voicemail Test Top candidates will receive instructions for a short voicemail/video test. Selected applicants will receive sample intake lines to read and will be asked to submit a video recording or shareable video link of themselves delivering the lines. This step will help us evaluate:
