Position: Java Full Stack Developer
Location:
Maxico (Remote) Role summary:
• Design, build and maintain features end to end on the Commerce Config, Price, Quote and Order Web Portal, from Angular screens to Spring Boot microservices. You will use AI code assistants such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot daily to speed up development, testing and refactoring, while owning the quality of every line you ship.
Key responsibilities
• Develop and enhance CPQ features (product configuration, pricing, discounts, quote creation, approvals
- Trainable Skills) using Core Java, Spring Boot and Angular.
• Design and build RESTful microservices that are secure, scalable and resilient under high transaction volumes.
• Build responsive, reusable Angular components and integrate them with backend APIs.
• Use Cursor, GitHub Copilot or equivalent tools for code generation, unit tests, refactoring, documentation and code reviews; validate all AI output for correctness, security and performance.
• Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine/Karma) and keep code coverage at agreed levels.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, story grooming, estimation, demos and retrospectives.
• Work with Business Analysts and Test Engineers to clarify requirements, fix defects and support UAT and production releases.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis and deliver permanent fixes.
• Follow secure coding standards, code review practices and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins or similar). Must-have
skills:
• 2-4/4–6 years of hands-on software development, with at least 3 years in Java full stack.
• Strong Core Java (Java 8+, collections, multithreading, streams, exception handling).
• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data/JPA and building microservices with REST APIs.
• Angular (v10+), TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL).
• Git, Maven/Gradle and CI/CD pipelines. Mandatory:
• At least 6 months of hands-on use of Cursor, GitHub Copilot or an equivalent AI code assistant in real project work, including prompt writing, AI-assisted test generation and reviewing AI-generated code.
• Good understanding of design patterns, clean code and SOLID principles.
• Strong debugging, analytical and communication skills. Good to have:
• Experience on CPQ, quoting, pricing or eCommerce platforms.
• NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) and caching (Redis).
• Messaging (Kafka,).
• Cloud and containers (; Docker, Kubernetes).
• Monitoring and logging (Splunk, , ELK,).
• Automated testing exposure (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field."
