Job Purpose
The General Ledger Supervisor will review journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with U.
S. GAAP standards.
Key Responsibilities
& Duties Financial Review & Approval: Review and approve journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations prepared by the team. Amortization & Insurance: Assist with amortization schedules and inter-company charges for risk insurance. Inter-Company Accounting: Assist with inter-company loan schedules and journal entries. Tax & Reporting: Assist with the preparation of property tax renditions and amortization journal entries. Cross-Functional Communication: Partner directly with plant managers, project leads, and department heads to verify asset status and resolve discrepancies. Time Management: Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet strict CAPEX tracking and period-end close deadlines. Adaptability & Collaboration: Work collaboratively within the team while maintaining flexibility to adjust pace as project volumes fluctuate. Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience:
2 to 5 years of accounting experience (experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus). Technical
Skills:
Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) is a plus. Soft
Skills:
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and data accuracy. Clear communication skills. Manager
Experience:
Supervise a team of 2 to 3 employees.
