We’re Hiring | Compliance Engineer OMRON Robotics and Safety Technologies | Mexico Are you an engineer with experience in product compliance, regulatory certification, and hands-on testing of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or industrial products? At OMRON Robotics and Safety Technologies, we’re looking for a Compliance Engineer to support the development, testing, certification, and global regulatory compliance of advanced robotics technologies. This is a technical engineering role focused on product compliance, not corporate, legal, financial, ethics, or trade compliance. You’ll work closely with electrical, mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing, testing, and quality engineering teams to help ensure our robotics products meet applicable global regulatory and certification requirements throughout the product lifecycle. What you’ll do You will support product compliance from early-stage concept and product development through production release and ongoing product lifecycle activities. You will work directly with third-party certification agencies and testing laboratories to prepare test procedures, coordinate product samples, support testing activities, and manage certification processes. You will support compliance with international product standards and certification requirements including IEC, FCC, CE, UL, CSA, KC, and other applicable regulatory frameworks. You will participate in Design Verification Testing (DVT) and perform or support electrical, mechanical, and functional testing according to applicable product safety standards. You will participate in technical design reviews, identify applicable compliance requirements, communicate those requirements to engineering teams, and contribute to design decisions that affect product certification. You will support hazard analysis, risk assessments, technical documentation, declarations of conformity, certification files, test reports, and ongoing regulatory compliance activities. You will also support environmental and material compliance requirements including REACH, RoHS, China RoHS, TSCA, Prop 65, PFAS, Conflict Minerals, WEEE, Battery Regulations, and other applicable regulations. What we’re looking for A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent technical engineering education. Experience working with product compliance, product safety, regulatory certification, or compliance testing for commercial products. Hands-on experience working with physical products during development, testing, certification, production, or deployment. Experience with product certification standards such as IEC, UL, CSA, CE, KC, or similar international standards. Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, or functional product testing. Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings. Experience using compliance-related testing equipment, test chambers, laboratory equipment, or similar engineering tools. Experience working with third-party certification bodies, testing laboratories, engineering teams, or regulatory agencies is highly valued. Experience supporting commercial products through regulatory certification is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
