Lead DevOps Engineer ABOUT AGGREGATUM Aggregatum is a technology company based in Saltillo, Mexico, founded by telecommunications engineers from a software research and development center. Our core team brings more than 10 years of experience delivering software, hardware integration, and specialized technology services. Our work includes manufacturing systems, traceability, RFID applications, enterprise integrations, custom software development, and production support.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer who combines technical leadership with recent, hands-on experience building and operating production infrastructure. You will help lead DevOps execution within an international engineering environment, making technical decisions, guiding engineers, and taking ownership of platform reliability, delivery automation, and production incidents. The role requires the ability to explain architectural decisions, troubleshoot complex failures, and implement solutions directly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead technical planning, design reviews, and implementation across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.
• Build and improve automated deployment pipelines, reusable Terraform configurations, and secure infrastructure practices.
• Own production reliability through monitoring, capacity planning, incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive improvements.
• Mentor engineers, review technical work, and coordinate priorities with development, security, and operations teams.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, PI planning, on-call rotations, and scheduled maintenance, supporting demanding availability objectives, including 99.999% where required. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• 8+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, SRE, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Demonstrated technical leadership: ownership of engineering decisions, implementation standards, mentoring, and delivery outcomes.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience, including production architecture, networking, access management, and troubleshooting.
• Deep Kubernetes experience in production, including deployments, networking, resource management, scaling, upgrades, and failure diagnosis.
• Strong Terraform skills, including reusable modules, state management, and controlled changes across environments.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including testing, deployment controls, secrets management, and rollback strategies.
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals, with the ability to diagnose issues across application, container, operating system, and infrastructure layers.
• Practical automation experience using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Experience with observability, high availability, incident response, and root cause analysis.
• Advanced English for technical discussions, documentation, and collaboration with international teams. NICE TO HAVE
• Experience with Azure or Google Cloud.
• Ansible, GitOps, and automated configuration management.
• DevSecOps practices and security controls within delivery pipelines.
• Experience in distributed teams supporting critical production services.
• Relevant cloud or Kubernetes certifications. WHAT WE WILL ASSESS Our technical interviews focus on systems you have personally designed, implemented, operated, or recovered. Be prepared to discuss your individual contribution, architectural tradeoffs, troubleshooting approach, leadership decisions, and measurable outcomes. We will explore Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, Linux, networking, and production incidents in depth.
