Analyzes and implements manufacturing engineering activities and plans providing technical support. Understand process and test requirements, then specify, design and implement necessary fixtures to build and test the products. Understands and drives the LEAN initiative.
Principal
Responsibilities:
• Lead continuous improvement efforts in products and processes to support plant objectives related to SQCDM (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Morale).
• Review existing and proposed product designs to improve manufacturability and make recommendations that enhance product quality and productivity.
• Evaluate activities related to new products, engineering changes, and manufacturing processes.
• Lead and participate in project team activities involving process improvements, value analysis, design reviews, product transfers, start-ups, and NPI (New Product Introduction). Establish and improve PFMEA, Control Plans, and HOE.
• Perform duties utilizing current tools and techniques in predetermined time standards, line balancing, simulation modeling, cost estimation, manpower planning, productivity improvement, Kanban, continuous improvement, poka-yoke, and fixture design.
• Coordinate programs based on long-term activity forecasts, including analysis, justification, and recommendations for facilities, equipment, and manpower requirements.
• Maintain a high level of technical knowledge in advanced manufacturing technologies related to plant productivity and product manufacturability.
• Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and identify improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, with more than three years of experience in process and/or product engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Engineering principles related to mechanical and electrical systems.
• Application of Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with sound planning and judgment.
• Proficiency in computer applications and systems.
• Safety and Environmental Awareness.
• Advanced English written and spoken skills
