We’re looking for an active, proactive, and ownership-driven DevOps Engineer who is ready to go beyond day-to-day infrastructure tasks and make a real contribution to the growth and development of a healthcare product.
You’ll work closely with engineering, security, and product teams to build and improve a reliable, secure, and scalable cloud environment, while proactively identifying opportunities to strengthen our infrastructure, processes, and delivery practices.
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Infrastructure role supporting production environments
• Hands-on AWS experience across core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS), including designing and operating microservice architectures
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ideally managed through Scalr
• Knowledge of AWS security services and best practices, including AWS WAF, IAM, GuardDuty, and Secrets Manager
• Experience managing DNS, CDN, and edge security with Cloudflare (WAF rules, caching, SSL/TLS, rate limiting)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in GitLab CI/CD, including runners, environments, and deployment strategies
• Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS)
• Familiarity with Git workflows, code review, and branching strategies
• Comfort working in Agile teams using Jira for ticketing, sprint planning, and incident tracking
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering workflows, including the use of tools such as Claude for code generation, documentation, debugging, and knowledge discovery
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken
• A collaborative approach to working with development, security, and product teams
• Ownership mindset and the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment Will be a Plus
• AWS certification (Solutions Architect Associate, DevOps Engineer Professional, or Security Specialty)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, NewRelic, or Grafana
• Experience integrating and managing third-party SaaS and PaaS services within a cloud environment
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including load balancing, VPNs, and zero-trust access (e.g., Cloudflare Zero Trust)
• Exposure to compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA
• Previous experience in the healthcare or medical domain
• Experience with incident response, on-call rotations, and writing postmortems
• Familiarity with cost optimization practices in AWS Responsibilities
• Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure from scratch using Infrastructure as Code, primarily Terraform
• Migrate an existing project to the new AWS environment while implementing and improving security best practices across the infrastructure
• Containerize applications and support their deployment across AWS environments
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines from scratch in GitLab CI/CD to automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Automate AWS infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and operational workflows
• Maintain and support existing services, including regular patching, updates, vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and antivirus management
• Monitor infrastructure and application health, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure service reliability
• Collaborate with development and BI teams to improve deployment processes, environment consistency, and operational efficiency
• Apply AWS security best practices across infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, access management, security groups, and secrets handling
