We are looking for a Sr. Process Chemical Engineer (UV Inks & Coatings Specialist) to join our New Product Development (NPD) team in Tijuana
In this role, you will provide hands-on technical and process support for both commercialized products and R&D concepts in development. You will work closely with local NPD teams in Tijuana and maintain a functional reporting line with R&D Materials leadership in Milwaukee, USA.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise in UV-curable inks & coatings, direct thermal coatings, pressure-sensitive adhesives, and sensing labels. Partner with Plant Quality to investigate material defects, confirm root causes, and scale complex issues to corporate R&D when needed. Collaborate with R&D to design experiments (DOE) and run plant trials to boost yield, improve product quality, and reduce costs. Build a strong structure-property understanding of materials and process capabilities to make data-backed decisions. Author technical procedures for end-of-line quality testing and maintain technical trial documentation. Qualifications &
Requirements:
B.
S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years in industrial product/process development, with specific expertise in UV-curable ink chemistry and flexographic processes. Fluent English (written and spoken), active US Visa, and legal authorization to work in Mexico.
