Senior Application Support Engineer

Job Description
We re seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer (Java & SQL) to provide L1/L2 production support for a portfolio of business-critical enterprise applications. This role focuses on incident resolution, root-cause analysis, production monitoring, SQL-based investigations, application troubleshooting, integration support, and release validation across complex distributed systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience supporting Java-based applications in production environments, troubleshooting integrations and data issues, and collaborating with business and engineering teams to maintain system stability and service levels. Qualifications Skills & Experience (Must Have) Candidates should demonstrate most or all of the following: Application Production Support
- 6+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.
- Strong experience in L2 support, incident management, problem management, and root-cause analysis. Java Support Engineering
- Hands-on experience supporting Java-based applications.
- Experience troubleshooting Java, Spring Framework, REST services, application logs, exceptions, and backend processes. SQL & Data Investigation
- Strong SQL skills including:
- Complex query development
- Data validation
- Data reconciliation
- Stored procedures
- Performance analysis
- Production data troubleshooting Integrations & APIs
- Experience supporting REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
- Troubleshooting data synchronization, interface failures, batch processing, and file-based integrations. Monitoring & Observability
- Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise monitoring platform such as:
- Splunk
- Dynatrace
- AppDynamics
- New Relic IT Service Management
- Experience working within ITIL-based support organizations.
- ServiceNow, Jira, incident management, change management, and SLA-driven support processes. Automation & Scripting
- Basic scripting experience using Shell, Bash, SQL automation, or related operational tooling. Ramp-Up Skills (Not Required) Experience with any of the following platforms is considered advantageous but is not required:
- Salesforce (Sales Cloud or Service Cloud)
- Salesforce integrations
- Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) platforms
- SalesConnect
- Sales Data Mart
- Data Warehouse support environments
- ETL platforms such as Informatica
- Power BI or Tableau
- Azure DevOps
- Kafka
- MQ
