About our partner: A global leader in premium kitchen technology is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support the design and development of electrical hardware systems for consumer products. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world product development, working alongside experienced engineers on control systems, power electronics, and user interface hardware from concept through production.

What You'll Do



  • Design analog and digital circuits for microcontroller-based design applications
  • Develop power supply circuits, motor control systems, and sensor interface electronics
  • Select components considering performance, cost, reliability, and supply chain factors
  • Create and review schematics, PCB layouts, and bill of materials (BOM)
  • Design for manufacturability, testability, and compliance with regulatory standards 
  • Work closely with firmware engineers during architecture definition and system design
  • Provide hardware specifications, timing diagrams, and interface documentation
  • Support firmware development through hardware bring-up and debugging
  • Collaborate on hardware-firmware partitioning decisions for optimal system performance
  • Participate in code reviews when firmware impacts hardware behavior
  • Develop test plans and validation procedures for circuit boards and assemblies
  • Conduct design verification testing, including functional, environmental, and stress testing
  • Debug hardware issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment
  • Perform EMI/EMC pre-compliance testing and implement mitigation strategies
  • Support safety certification testing (UL, CE, FCC)
  • Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation and specifications, including layouts, schematics, test plans, manufacturing specifications, and component libraries
  • Support design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) activities
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers on PCB fabrication and assembly
  • Develop and execute manufacturing test procedures and calibration processes
  • Conduct root cause analysis for field issues and implement corrective actions

 


What You Need



  • Experience: 2-4 years of related experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Technical Skills: 
  • Expert in MS Office, especially Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience in analog and digital circuit design
  • Experience with circuit simulation tools (SPICE, LTspice, or similar)
  • Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as Altium (preferred), OrCAD, KiCAD, or similar
  • Understanding of power supply design (linear regulators, switching converters)
  • Knowledge of motor control circuits
  • Experience designing NFC circuits for contactless communication is preferred
  • Experience in component obsolescence management and design lifecycle
  • Experience with test equipment: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power analyzers, multimeters
  • Understanding of EMI/EMC design principles and mitigation techniques
  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards (UL, CE, FCC)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical-electrical integration
  • Experience designing hardware for small appliances or consumer products is preferred 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must
  • Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit up to 8 hours per day, with walking and standing required frequently
  • Visual acuity is required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading documents, reports, and emails
  • Repetitive hand movements for tasks like typing or assembly
  • Amount of Travel Required: Up to 25% travel required
