A strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel systems is essential. You will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting complex mechanical failures, and executing repairs efficiently to minimize equipment downtime and support ongoing construction projects. • Perform routine preventative maintenance on heavy machinery and construction equipment according to manufacturer specifications and service schedules.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine problems using specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Repair and overhaul heavy equipment components, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and undercarriages.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies for equipment operation and maintenance.
• Operate and test repaired equipment to verify functionality and performance.
• Assist in managing inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring availability for timely repairs.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and operators to schedule maintenance and address equipment concerns promptly.
• Respond to urgent repair needs at project sites to minimize operational disruptions.

• Proven experience as a Mechanic specializing in heavy machinery and construction equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, power trains, and electrical systems common in heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, tools, and techniques specific to heavy machinery repair.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, technical drawings, and schematics.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures for working with heavy equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good physical condition, with the ability to lift heavy components and work in various environmental conditions.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
