We are currently recruiting a Advanced Permitting Specialist to join our team and contribute to key projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project documentation and ensure it is complete and ready for handover to the Engineering team.
  • Support the identification of permitting requirements at local, state, and federal levels for assigned projects under supervision.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting permit applications, including gathering technical documents and supporting data.
  • Help ensure submitted plans and documents meet basic regulatory and code requirements.
  • Maintain records, permit logs, and digital files following established company standards.
  • Support communication with public agencies and project team members to follow up on routine requests.
  • Research and summarize basic permit regulations, codes, and construction documents as directed.
  • Assist in scheduling field inspections and maintaining activity logs.
  • Help monitor regulatory changes and update project teams with guidance from senior staff.
  • Perform administrative tasks and support report preparation as assigned
  • Support preliminary assessments of solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects by compiling site, land, access, resource, and grid information.
  • Gather inputs from engineering and external consultants for preliminary layouts, technical descriptions, schedules, and feasibility reviews.
  • Assist in tracking environmental, social, land-use, generation, and interconnection requirements applicable to each project.
  • Help coordinate consultant requests for proposals, compare deliverables against scope, and follow up on outstanding technical information.
  • Update project milestones, permit trackers, budgets, and risk logs; flag missing documents and potential schedule impacts to senior staff.
  • Support site visits and meetings, prepare concise notes, and track agreed actions with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Urban Planning, Engineering, Public Policy, or a related field.
Experience & Technical Skills
  • 0–3 years of experience in permitting, administration, or regulatory affairs (experience in renewable energy, utilities, or construction is a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of building codes, zoning, and permitting processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with electronic records systems.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eager to learn and attentive to detail.
  • Follows instructions and escalates issues as needed.
  • Collaborative team player, reliable, and accountable.
