App Support Engineer Web Based Junior
RequirementsMust have:

Position: Junior L1 Technical Support & SQL Server Developer
Experience Level: Entry-Level / Junior (0 – 2 years)
Domain Focus: Front-line IT support, incident triage, relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server)
Language Requirement: Good to Intermediate English (B1–B2). Must be capable of holding conversations and drafting clear, professional emails and ticket updates.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Preferred / Differentiators)

Basic knowledge of Git for script versioning.
Exposure to SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) or Power BI for simple report generation.
Understanding of ITIL v4 fundamentals (Incident, Service Request, Problem).

Responsibilities

1. Database & SQL Server (Primary Technical Focus):
T-SQL Fundamentals: Writing clean queries using SELECT, WHERE, ORDER BY, GROUP BY, HAVING, and built-in functions.
Joins & Relationships: Solid understanding of relational concepts (Primary/Foreign keys) and ability to write INNER JOIN and LEFT JOIN.
Safe Data Manipulation: Writing basic INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE queries with explicit transaction control (BEGIN TRAN, COMMIT, ROLLBACK).
Tooling: Hands-on experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) to navigate schemas, inspect tables, and run queries.
Basic Object Awareness: Ability to read and execute existing Stored Procedures and Views.
3. Technical Support & Operations (L1):
Ticket & SLA Management: Experience or familiarity with ITSM ticketing platforms (e.g., Jira Service Management, ServiceNow).
Incident Triage: Ability to gather diagnostic details (error logs, reproduction steps, timestamps) to classify and escalate issues properly.
Documentation: Following standard runbooks/SOPs and updating internal Knowledge Base (KB) articles.
4. Core Soft Skills:
Attention to Detail: High discipline when viewing or modifying production data.
Coachability: Receptive to code reviews, mentorship, and change-management protocols.
