We are looking for a Product Development Engineer with experience in mechanical/product design, HVAC systems, and manufacturing processes to support new product development, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and validate new HVAC products in line with customer requirements, technical standards, and performance specifications.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, specification sheets, BOMs, CAD models, and test reports.
- Participate in DFMEA, DVP&R, and design reviews to ensure product robustness.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Production teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Implement technical improvements to existing products through redesign and cost-reduction initiatives, including Value Engineering/VAVE.
- Provide technical support during pilot production, production start-up, and post-release phases.
- Manage engineering changes, including ECOs/ECNs, for assigned products.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, such as:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electromechanical Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Industrial Processes
- Aeronautical Engineering
- 26 years of experience in mechanical design/product design and manufacturing processes.
- Intermediate-level AutoCAD 2D skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
- Knowledge of mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- English proficiency at B1 level or higher (CEFR).
- Strong analytical, communication, planning, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to learn independently, take initiative, and work proactively.
- Experience with HVAC systems and Air Handling Units (AHU).
- Sheet-metal design experience.
- New Product Introduction (NPI) experience, preferably 13 years.
- Macro programming and automation using VBA, Python, C#, or CAD APIs.
- Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and VAVE activities.
