Job Description- Responsible to implement, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes as well as to ensure technical availability of equipment in all shifts.
- Aim to achieve Value Stream KPI’s such as relative utilization, internal defect cost by continuously improving other supporting KPI’s such as FOR and technical downtime.
- New product introduction, equipment and process definition, acquisition, validation, and installation on production environment.
- Develop procedures and instructions for technical processes.
- Develop material to train process technicians.
- Develop maintenance plans for equipment focused on preventive, predictive and corrective
- approaches.
Production Support:
- Align all engineering efforts with the corresponding Value Stream main KPI’s.
- Develop procedures, instructions, and training material for TPM.
- Responsible to reach technical availability, cycle time, and defect cost targets and upper limits for the processes and equipment under his/her responsibility.
- Ensure manufacturing process compliance with engineering principles, customer requirements,
- Bosch standards, and process specifications.
- Train and instruct production and technical personnel.
- Provide support according to the VS shift model.
- New Product / New Processes:
- Get involved on the process to define, acquire, transfer, accept, validate, install, and release production processes and equipment according to Bosch standards.
- Fulfill APQP planning: EWAK runs, Pre-PV’s, PV, and SOP.
- Participate actively with MFE (manufacturing planning) on projects and new releases.
- Responsible to prepare and implement the technical aspects of ECRs, following Bosch standards.
- Participate with the corresponding international production network on the definition of the
- manufacturability of new products focused on topics such as process definition, product handling, cycle time, hardware design, among others.
- Process and equipment:
- Develop and implement TPM (total productive maintenance) instructions, schedule, and provide training to the corresponding TPM technicians.
- Develop SMED process for changeover standards.
- Define the corresponding machine spare and wear parts and register them in tool crib.
- Define, display, and control process parameters that are defined in official Bosch documents
- such as DMD’s, VVT’s, VAs, etc.
- Comply with the machine capability and MSA standards for the processes under his/her responsibility, considering Quality best practices.
- Develop and follow at every moment the continuous improvement approach (CIP).
- Define reaction plans and troubleshooting guides for the process technicians.
- Set standards and methods for process confirmation.
- Actively exchange lessons learned from others and to others (e.g., Value Streams and IPN plants).
- Use problem solving techniques to find root cause for every problem on the process/equipment.
- Aim to find, understand, and always attack the technical root cause (TRC) and managerial root cause (MRC).
- Use project management techniques to manage internal and external projects.
- Use Bosch Production System to establish production and CIP best practices.
- Participate on PFMEA and Control Plan for assigned processes (new and current).
EDUCATION:
- Minimum required education level: bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, electronics, electromechanical, mechatronics, digital systems and communications engineering, or related fields.
- Master's degree is preferred.

SKILLS:
• GD&T certification.
• Experience (3-5 years) as mechanical process or maintenance Engineer.
• PLC programming is a plus: Bosch Rexroth, Allen Bradley, Siemens, micrologix.
• Knowledge in pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge on Robotics: Staubli, Fanuc.
• CAD design: Solid works or other mecha
