Embedded Software Engineer – AUTOSAR COMStack

Location: Mexico

What You'll Be Doing
  • Design, configure, integrate, and support AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) communication modules.
  • Work extensively with AUTOSAR Communication Stack components and communication-related BSW modules.
  • XCP (Universal Measurement and Calibration Protocol)
  • J1939
  • Support vehicle communication network implementation, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Utilize Vector DaVinci tools for AUTOSAR configuration, development, and integration.
  • Develop and execute unit tests using VectorCast.
  • Support automotive software development activities related to:
  • Cybersecurity
  • Functional Safety
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on automotive software development and system integration.
  • Follow ASPICE software development processes (SWE1-SWE6) throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Execute static code analysis using Polyspace/Bug Finder and resolve CERT-C and MISRA compliance issues.
  • Contribute to communication architecture, diagnostics, and network integration efforts across vehicle platforms.
What You'll Need to Be Successful Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3-7 years of professional experience in embedded software development.
  • Strong experience with AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW).
  • Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR Communication Stack (COM Stack) configuration and integration.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle communication networks and architectures.
  • Extensive experience with:
  • J1939
  • UDS
  • XCP
  • Experience using Vector tools such as:
  • Strong Embedded C/C++ programming skills.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • CAN / CAN FD
  • Ethernet-based automotive communications
  • Automotive diagnostics and communication protocols
  • Experience with software version control systems such as Git, ClearCase, or Integrity.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for communication and integration issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Functional Safety (ISO 26262).
  • Familiarity with automotive Cybersecurity concepts and secure communication practices.
  • Experience working in an ASPICE-compliant development environment.
