The Opportunity

Nutanix is seeking a Staff Consulting Architect – Virtualization, Network & Security to architect, design, and deliver enterprise virtualization, networking, and security platforms across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping enterprise customers modernize their infrastructure platforms through architecture, hands-on delivery, automation, and operational transformation. You will combine deep expertise in virtualization, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), microsegmentation, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud technologies to build secure, resilient, and scalable enterprise infrastructure platforms.

Your Role

Virtualization Assessments & Solution Architecture
•Lead customer discovery workshops and technical assessments to understand infrastructure modernization goals, virtualization requirements, and operational challenges. 
•Design enterprise virtualization, networking, and security architectures using Nutanix AHV, VMware vSphere, and Software-Defined Networking technologies. 
•Define compute, storage, networking, high availability, security, and disaster recovery architectures supporting enterprise hybrid cloud environments. 
Platform Implementation & Modernization
•Lead enterprise virtualization implementations, platform migrations, and modernization initiatives from legacy environments to Nutanix AHV while maintaining consulting scope and delivery quality. 
•Deploy virtualization platforms, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and hybrid cloud connectivity solutions supporting enterprise workloads. 
Platform Integration & Automation
•Design and integrate Software-Defined Networking, microsegmentation, hybrid networking, and security solutions using Nutanix Flow, VMware NSX, or equivalent technologies. 
•Develop automation leveraging REST APIs, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies to improve deployment consistency, operational efficiency, and platform scalability. 
Platform Operations, Security & Disaster Recovery
•Design disaster recovery, replication, backup, and business continuity solutions across multi-site and hybrid cloud environments. 
•Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and security issues while optimizing platform availability, performance, scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency. 
Technical Leadership & Practice Development
•Lead customer architecture workshops and technical design sessions while providing guidance throughout project delivery. 
•Mentor consultants and share technical knowledge across the Professional Services organization. 
•Develop reusable Practice Development assets, including Service Enablement Kits (SEKs), automation scripts, network reference architectures, implementation playbooks, and operational runbooks to improve delivery consistency and quality. 
 

What You Will Bring

•10+ years of experience in enterprise virtualization, networking, cloud infrastructure, or data center engineering. 
•Experience in customer-facing consulting, Professional Services, Customer Success, or technical advisory roles delivering enterprise infrastructure, cloud, or platform solutions. 
•Virtualization & Compute: Deep hands-on experience designing, deploying, and administering Nutanix AHV, VMware vSphere, or equivalent enterprise virtualization platforms. 
•Networking & Security: Strong expertise in Software-Defined Networking (SDN), VMware NSX, Nutanix Flow, VLANs, routing, switching, microsegmentation, Zero Trust networking, and enterprise network security architectures. 
•Hybrid Cloud & Automation: Experience integrating hybrid cloud platforms and automating infrastructure deployments using REST APIs, PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies. 
•Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Strong understanding of disaster recovery, replication, backup strategies, business continuity planning, and hybrid cloud resiliency.
