The Sr. Power Electronics Engineer (Magnetic Actuators) help advance the development of magnetically levitated turbomachinery:
Magnetic Bearing Actuator development (Magnetic Circuit Design of Magnetic Bearing Actuator, Bench testing, Manufacturing Process design etc.)
Motor development (Magnetic Circuit Design of PM or IM motor, Bench testing, Manufacturing Process design etc.)
Collaborate within an international team of engineers with a wide skillset / knowledge base, with opportunities to grow in multiple disciplines. Opportunities to travel domestically and internationally.

Mandatory Required Qualifications:- Experience with the one or more of the following Electrical Power components developments: Magnetic Bearing Actuators, Induction Motors, Permanent Magnet Motors.
- Experience of electrical actuator components manufacturing technology (Motor, Magnetic Bearing Actuators etc.
- Bachelor’s degree (Electrical Engineering or Equivalent)
- +7 years of related experience (Higher level degree can be substituted for years of experience).
- Experience with the magnetic circuit analysis for Motor or Magnetic Bearing Actuator: JMAG, ANSYS etc.
- Strong team player with focus on team goals, team objectives, and team deadlines.
- Ability to work in dynamic environment, communicating effectively, clearly, and logically.
- Self-motivated & detail-oriented
- Basic knowledge of test data analysis software and tools.
- Ability to attend a web meeting with Japan, China or EU country in the evening on weekdays.
- Master’s degree (Electrical Engineering or Equivalent)
- Skills related to CAD applications.
- Advanced level of English
- Familiarity with global HVAC principles and practices and Electrical and Mechanical component design standards (UL, EC, ASHRAE, GB, ISO, etc).
- Experience of Motor drive system development (Variable frequency drive system)
- Experience of Magnetic Bearing System development (Levitation control software development etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Creates and implements planning for Motor and Magnetic Bearing Actuator development including:
Design and Review milestones
- Detailed and advanced Motor and Magnetic Bearing Actuator design used in compressors. This includes the fundamental design, detail design for production, checking the manufacturing process in the third party or In-house.
- Evaluates all mechanical aspects to ensure the product designed and developed will meet life cycle requirements for Motor or Magnetic bearing actuators. This will include detail stress, vibration, modal, fatigue analysis of all designed components.
- Detailed involvement in all steps in the product development process/life cycle, from customer requirement, to design, to prototype manufacturing, to product qualification, to final product implementation and product launch.
Derive component level requirements from assembly requirements to create part specifications and drawings:
- Communication with all suppliers and vendors to determine manufacturability.
- Communication with teams in other technical area (Mechanical, Drive system) and coordinate with other components design (Housing etc.) to complete the Actuator design.
- Participate in inspection results to ensure all designed parts are manufactured as specified, within specified tolerances
- Communicate and instruct designer to create specifications and check part drawings.
- Apply common manufacturing and inspection capabilities to choose materials and tolerances. Relevant expe
