Key Responsibilities- Strategic HR Business Partnering
- Develop and communicate a clear HR strategy for PIL Mexico, aligned with PIL's long-term goals and regional priorities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to local leadership and managers on HR policy, organisational design, and people decisions.
- Drive global and regional HR projects, adapting them to local contexts.
- Provide leadership with insights and recommendations on workforce trends and organisational development.
- Employee Experience & Engagement
- Drive initiatives that strengthen workplace culture and engagement, including Great Place to Work annual survey, and action plans.
- Advise managers on employee relations and engagement strategies.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead the Talent Acquisition funtion,
- Contribute to workforce planning and succession strategies to ensure future readiness.
- Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate development programs to build local capabilities.
- Support leadership development and career progression initiatives.
- Performance Management
- Facilitate performance review cycles, ensuring consistency and fairness.
- Coach managers on goal setting, feedback, and employee development.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Ensure competitive, compliant compensation and benefits programs are maintained.
- Act as a point of contact for employee queries on benefits and compensation.
- Employee Relations
- Manage employee relations cases, ensuring fair and compliant resolution.
- Advise managers on discipline and grievance processes.
- HR Operations & Payroll
- Serve as the local payroll owner and subject-matter reference for Colombia and Perú, ensuring accurate processing and compliance with local labor laws.
- Lead the successful integration into the Leap29 global payroll system, and monitor and resolve payroll-related issues promptly.
- Own the local HR administrative and compliance tasks that sit outside the payroll vendor's scope (statutory filings, benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding).
- HR Data Management & Reporting
- Regularly review HR processes and systems for accuracy and compliance.
- Implement best practices for data audits in iHR, ensuring accurate and effective information.
- Track and report HR KPIs (e.g., turnover, engagement scores, payroll accuracy) to regional/global HR.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in a similar HR role, preferably within a regional or multi-country setting.
- Familiarity with HR practices and labor regulations in LATAM.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience working in a global or regional HR role, preferably in the shipping, logistics, or transportation industry.
- Proven ability to lead HR strategies aligned with long-term business goals.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing HR teams across different countries, ensuring consistency in HR practices.
- A proactive, problem-solving approach to HR challenges, with the ability to influence business leaders.
