This role is within Chamberlain Group's Nogales Manufacturing - Operations group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Assist in the identification of the stakeholders and objectives for Kaizen and/or value-stream map (VSM) events, and (ii) Collect, validate, and analyze data required to understand problem root causes, or key drivers of required results. Requires 2+ years of experience as a Manufacturing or Lean Engineer and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, Lean Manufacturing Certification, Green Belt Certification.

  • Assist in the identification of the stakeholders and objectives for Kaizen and/or value-stream map (VSM) events
  • Collect, validate, and analyze data required to understand problem root causes, or key drivers of required results
  • Provide process improvement training to applicable areas and support the implementation of lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Support leadership with material preparation and events; conduct follow-up activities and training as needed to ensure project completion and optimal results
  • Determine critical business metrics and build dashboards, scorecards, and other measurement systems; help establish KPIs
  • Identify and drive improvement opportunities based on data, customer feedback and stakeholder inputs, while ensuring cross-functional alignment and stakeholder buy-in
  • Identify opportunities for waste reduction, establish and roll-out plans in partnership with leadership of relevant teams
  • Create standardized processes and ensure implementation of standardized operating systems
  • Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

Education/Certifications:

  • Lean Manufacturing Certification

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Manufacturing or Lean Engineer

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge and experience in Layout Projection
  • Basic knowledge of Autocad and Minitab
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Tools and implementation
