Mainframe Developer

• Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop and support batch and online applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2
• Perform code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization
• Support production incidents, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and project stakeholders
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and best practices

Requirements

• Strong experience in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, IMS, MQ Series, and TSO/ISPF
• Experience with production support and incident management
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in Mainframe Development/Engineering
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications and production support
• Preferred: Mainframe modernization and cloud migration exposure
• Preferred: Experience with REST APIs and integration technologies
• Preferred: Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools
• Preferred: Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, or Financial Services domain experience
