As a QTO Engineer, you will play an important role in the construction and engineering of complex projects that make a difference in people's lives. Kiewit Mexico offers a variety of services in markets including transportation, oil, gas, and chemical, power, building, water/wastewater, industrial, and mining.
Responsibilities- Estimate material quantities and costs for various phases of the construction project.
- Review and analyze construction plans and specifications.
- Develop and maintain project cost estimates utilizing estimating software.
- Coordinate with construction team and clients to update estimates as necessary.
- Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals for completeness and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance of estimates with company and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 1 year of experience in quantity takeoff and cost estimating.
- Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, codes, and standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Upper Intermediate English B2.
