Your Role

As a Gensler  Designer , you will develop design solutions and provide project coordination for all project phases, from concept through construction. As a member of the Lifestyle studio, you will be a part of a team that creates impactful and memorable experiences in the retail, hospitality, restaurant, mixed use, and residential markets.

What You Will Do

Working with Design Director(s) and project team(s), participate in all project phases, including programming client needs, conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, FF&E sourcing and specifications, and construction documents Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions Produce graphic presentations, 3D visualizations, and construction drawings Develop and exhibit self-direction and curiosity while working in a collaborative environment Assist in managing client expectations and team communication Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs

Your Qualifications

Bachelor of Architecture, Interior Architecture, or foreign equivalent 5+ years of professional commercial design experience focusing on retail design and delivery Proficiency in  REVIT , Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office 100% bilingual  English/Spanish, well written, with excellent verbal communication skills. Intermediate understanding of design theories, furniture, finishes, materials, and color selections Strong understanding for the development of FF&E Specifications Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas Strong organizations skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time Familiar with retail related ADA compliance and building codes
