Position Summary:

Customs Specialist is responsible to assure adherence to Customs Compliance regulations applicable to Harman Import/Export operations. Create or update actual written procedures to set a standard and administrative control according to Company policies.

Functionality of this role will focus on specifics areas designed by the organization or immediate supervisors. He/She will be in charge of accountability of the process assigned and KPIS which assure performance and improvement.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

As a part of the supervisory responsibilities, if there is not an employee to attend the process, the direct boss will have to attend the process or assign the activities to another employee with equal qualifications).

Job Responsibilities:

Uploads of the layouts to the IMMEX software. Validate the layouts for temporary imports and their return. Validate the layouts for A1 customs code. Purge all the mistakes and complete the layouts of the customs brokers. “Compulsas” elaboration and analysis. File A30 Account statement. Assure Discharges report files are validated (A30) Upload bill of materials for IMMEX software. Upload alternative part numbers for bill of materials. Upload packaging instructions for bill of materials. Purge negative parts numbers. Recover the missing documents of customs bróker. Elaborates Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports. Balance the discrepancy between Annex 24 Vs SAP for assigned plant(s)(+4%). Monitor overall performance to make sure targets are being met using KPI and metrics. Collaborate with continuous improvement initiatives And other activities assigned by Regional IMMEX Systems Management Leader

Basic Qualifications:

Teamwork & Respect. International Business, Finance or Administration Degree. 1 years of related experience. Experience in the automotive industry preferably. Experience with Mexican Custom Laws preferably. Follows BMS/QMS Apps requirements. Follow IATF 16949, Customer Specific and ISO 14001 requirements. English 50% (reading and writing).

Pr eferred Qualifications :

Change Orientation. Result Driven. Problem solving skills. SAP system. Computer knowledge.

Eli gibility Requirements:

Willingness to travel. (occasionally) Willingness to work in an office. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
