Demand Modeler Central America and Caribbean (CCA) based in Mexico City

Hybrid model: 3 days at office, 2 days from home.

The demand modeler is the specialist in crafting models to forecast and analyse demand for our products. The candidate must have a fair balance between, phenomenal leadership, influence and strong technical knowledge in statical and data analysis.

Their must possess enough knowledge to guide their collaborators in finding the right solution for sophisticated problems including mathematical and statistical prediction models. Also, they must have the right knowledge about the business to ensure they can connect with the market demand planners to capture all the inputs for those models and also ensure the models are embraced by the markets once constructed. The demand modelling team will own and drive statistical forecast accuracy performance to achieve targets and this manager will be the ultimate responsible for the performance of the team.

Top Accountabilities:

Performance Monitoring: Responds for the accuracy of the forecast of region handled, driving adjustments to improve forecast reliability.

Demand Forecasting: Is the person in charge to develop and maintain demand forecasting models using statistical algorithms, machine learning techniques, and historical sales data to predict future demand trends accurately.

Adoption: guarantees the quality of the outcome of the modelling team to ensure adoption in the markets.

Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance to capture input, validate forecasts, and ensure alignment of demand plans with business objectives.

Scenario Planning: Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate the impact of various factors such as pricing changes, promotional campaigns, and market fluctuations on demand forecasts and recommend mitigation strategies.

Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of advancements in demand forecasting methodologies, tools, and technologies, and proactively implement best practices to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency.

Provide key input to S&OP/IBP process: Collaborate with IBP Lead and Demand Planner to conduct root cause analysis to identify drivers of forecast error and work together to take the vital corrective action to drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and bias performance.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in an analytical career.

Confirmed experience of more than 5 years handling statical information, data analysis, demand planning or financial modeling.

Analytical skills and an analytical attitude.

Sophisticated level of Excel.

Intermediate-Advanced level of English for conversations with global teams.

Collaboration with proactivity, dynamism in a fast peaced environment.

Teamwork, curiosity and agility.

Preferred Qualifications

Power BI.

Fluid English.
