Job Summary
Develops and supervises the Financial and Control Systems that will help achieve the Company’s Objectives.
Prepares reports of the Financial Position of the Company as pertaining to the areas of Income, Costs, Expenditures and Profits based on Budgets and Financial Projections.
Assists Plant Manager in computing and analyzing Standard product costs and variances as directed.
Essential Functions
Perform month end closing procedures to include journal entries, corporate schedules: (A) P&L, (B) BS, (C) Expanded Cost P&L, (D) Supplemental BS Schedules, EBITDA CommentaryNew Product Standard Cost Update – Review and approve accuracy of product structure and routing file before updating base, current and going-to costReview Daily Engineering Changes – Review and evaluate cost implications of engineering changes to routing and/or product structureReview, Analyze and Report Variances– Daily, weekly and monthly review of purchase price, material usage, outside operation, labor price, labor usage and factory overhead efficiency varianceReview, Analyze and Report ScrapMonitor Work Orders – insure completed work orders are being closed and investigate work orders without activityPrepare Monthly Contribution Margin ReportConduct weekly Cycle counts, and perform if needed annual physical inventoryAssist with Annual Budgeted Labor and Overhead CalculationAssist in the preparation and execution of the year-end cost rollCoordinate and authorize the preparation of reports for Government Agencies (Local, State and Federal)Responsible for the Mexican Accounting System and coordinate its relation to the Corporate Accounting SystemAdvise Management on desirable changes due to changing Fiscal Laws and provides advice on Importing and Exporting Customs RegulationsOther Duties:
Work on Special Analysis and ProjectsPerform other financial analyses and reports for quarterly and year-end audits as required by internal and external auditors.Education/Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
5 years manufacturing and cost accounting experience
Possess a good understanding of financial processes, policies, procedures and business applications in accordance with US GAAP
Possess strong conceptual and analytical skills related to Cost Accounting and Manufacturing processes
Ability to organize, plan, and perform multiple projects and meet deadlines with excellent quality and service
Mfg Software applications experience (MRP, JD Edwards preferable or similar ERP systems)
Standard Cost Accounting System experience
Advanced English
