As an R2R Specialist supporting FRA TEAM , you will be trusted to work on financial information and prepare financial reports, be responsible for accounting tasks as well as their timely and accurate completion for the assigned areas in the AGS team.

In this role, a typical day will include:

Interact proactively with functional areas to ensure accurate accounting and financial reporting is accomplished within prescribed deadlines.

Collaborate proactively with key stakeholders, including Finance colleagues and Regional Financial Reporting and Accounting.

Timely communication with stakeholders especially around questions relating to accounting/reporting matters.

Ensure all processes comply with Alcon standards and policies (i.e. global processes, Alcon Accounting Manual, Alcon Financial Controls Manual, Management Authorization Levels, etc.).

Ensure that blackline and Smart Close activities are performed timely.

Review balance sheets and ensure accuracy

Promote a strong control environment and follow up on audit issues and implement corrective measures.

Support on audit processes, providing evidence of the requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or Finance required. 

3+ years of accounting experience – public and industry-preferred

ERP knowledge (SAP)

Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, detail-oriented, organized and experience managing databases.

Experience working with shared services preferred.

English proficiency (written and verbal)

Experience with sales deductions, net profit, cost

Experience with inventory, revenue recognition, margin product analysis
