Job Description

Job Overview: 

As a Buyer, you will be integral in managing the acquisition and supply of indirect materials and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) products for our organization. Your role will involve: 

Key Responsibilities: 

Sourcing and Procurement: 

Obtain quotes for products and services and evaluate options to ensure cost-effectiveness and value. 

Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, discounts, and favorable payment terms. 

Supplier Management: 

Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers, particularly for critical production supplies. 

Manage supplier performance to ensure timely and accurate delivery. 

Project and Budget Management: 

Handle complex purchasing projects and oversee budgets related to procurement.

Generate and track purchase orders and collaborate with suppliers and accountants for invoice processing and payments. 

Documentation and Reporting: 

Prepare and manage purchasing paperwork, including purchase orders, invoices, and basic purchasing reports. 

Perform data analysis to support procurement decisions. 

Cross-Department Collaboration: 

Work closely with finance, warehouse, logistics, and trade compliance teams to ensure seamless operations. 

Assist with ITC guidelines and customs brokerage during import processes. 

Logistics and Inventory Control: 

Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for material receipt and inventory management. 

Ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines and policies. 

Policy and Procedure Adherence: 

Enforce departmental policies, guidelines, and procedures. Collaborate with internal approvers to confirm specifications, budgets, and terms and conditions of purchases. 

Qualifications: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree. 

Experience: Minimum of 4 years in a purchasing-related role, with experience in manufacturing facilities preferred. Background in MRO planning and logistics/international trade compliance is advantageous. Factory startup experience is a plus. 

Visa and passport.

Skills: 

Advanced English. 

Strong communication and negotiation abilities, with a proven track record in cost saving and procurement strategy development. 

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on cost management. 

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
