Petco is a category-defining health and wellness company focused on improving the lives of pets, pet parents and Petco partners. We are 29,000 strong, working together across 1,500+ pet care centers, 250+ Vetco Total Care hospitals, hundreds of preventive care clinics, eight distribution centers and two support centers.

Essential Job Functions: The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation. - Analyze, evaluate and interpret product test reports. Propose solutions and implement disposition on behalf of QA. - Ensure all products are tested in a timely manner and in adherence to current testing requirements. Collaborate with QA Team, China Sourcing Office, Sourcing, and International Logistics in monitoring shipping schedules and follow-up with vendors. - Evaluate finished products for all Petco private brand products and approve for release of purchase orders for shipping. This includes following up with any corrective actions required to ensure Petco receives good quality products. - Research background information, provide root cause analysis and implement solutions with Private Brand product complaints, QA incident cases, issues and concerns. Escalate to inform as needed. - Partner and communicate with cross functional teams involved (both internal teams and external entities) in implantation of resolution for product concern/issues. This includes reviewing feedback/concerns/questions from internal teams (Customer E, Risk Assessment, Stores, Distribution Centers, etc.) and ensuring that all issues are resolved in a timely manner. - Recommend and collaborate on the development of new standards and test protocols. Document protocols for final approval of QA team. - Demonstrate proficiency in and stay apprised of current industry and regulatory requirements for all products. - Audit and validate 3rd party testing labs to ensure testing is conducted according to prescribed standards. Ensure testing protocols and reports are issued in a timely manner. - Audit ongoing testing with Vendors on all Private Brand Products. Ensure that support documentation is properly maintained. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Work Environment: The majority of the job duties are performed while seated indoors at a computer terminal with little or no exposure to hazards. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Use a telephone to personally interact with outside vendors as well as internal employees. Use a personal computer to create, update, track and maintain records or product. Education (Required): Normally requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in engineering, quality assurance or other related technical field. Certification (Preferred): ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, CRE) preferred. Work Experience (Required): Requires general work experience, including five to seven years related experience in quality assurance. Work Experience (Preferred): Prefer experience in product specifications, testing, quality control, inspections/audits and importing products for sale at retail Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and miscellaneous data base systems. Familiarity with Minitab or similar statistical analysis software a plus.
