Role of the Operations Manager

Management of the VPC processes to obtain the profitability results established for the VPC

Ensure compliance with the operational processes based on the requirements of the Management to obtain the profitability of the operation.

To ensure that the safety, quality, and efficiency standards required by the client are met.



Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Perform and assure an assertive communication with the client. Comply with client requirements including all legal and operational areas. Report to WW leadership team VPC status and results. Developing long and short-term strategies in support of VPC objectives. Support RRHH department in union negotiation and requirements. Ensuring that coordinating and planning activities support VPC objectives. Communicating VPC objectives, strategies, and activities to VPC staff. Ensuring that adequate training and tools are provided to VPC staff. Establishing routine management targets for the VPC. Identifying and implementing cost reduction activities. Implement, manage and support lean waste objectives and projects. Evaluates and establishes operating procedures. Ensures that established operating procedures are followed for all production operations functions and processes. Ensures that VPC efficiency standards are met and/or exceeded while maintaining WW standards of quality. Efficiency standards are established by the Operation Manager and are communicated via Time per Activity (TPA) and Labor Efficiency Goals (PET). Ensures that workplace safety standards are met, including the proper storage and handling of hazardous waste materials. Ensures that the total quality management principles are executed. This includes but is not limited to Policy Management, Shop Floor Management and Routine Management processes. Works cohesively with all members of VPC management. Ensures VPC compliance with all WW policies and procedures. Advocates the Company Leadership Competencies. Maintains confidential information and ensures that company confidentiality policies, as well as applicable state and federal confidentiality laws, are followed. Maintains positive relations with customers, vendors, business associates and employees. Ensures that supervisory staff is cross-trained in multiple VPC functions and embraces a team-oriented approach to problem solving. Performs other related duties, as required. Develop, motivate and train all levels of employees for their professional development and future growth of the company Work long hours, weekends and holidays Proficiently use Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applications Drive manual and automatic transmissions Collaborate problem solving

Qualifications

Inspiring change through communication at all impacted levels Understanding revenue drivers and efficiency standards to deliver positive financial results Leading continuous process improvements to achieve a safe and cost efficient work environment that meets performance targets SOP, MRP, TQM, JIT, Kaizen, 5S, and visual factory management Must possess valid driver’s license & drive manual and automatic transmissions. Advanced English
