Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and other specifications to determine the best programming approach
  • Write, test, and debug CNC programs to ensure optimal machine performance
  • Set up CNC machines, select the appropriate cutting tools, and determine the optimal cutting speed and feed rate for each operation
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure their efficiency and productivity
  • Inspect finished parts and components to ensure they meet the required specifications
  • Work closely with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot any issues and optimize processes
  • Continuously stay updated with the latest CNC programming techniques and technologies

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred
  • 10+ years of experience as a CNC Programmer
  • Full knowledge and ability to program a minimum of 5 axis machines
  • Experience with turning and milling centers, live tooling, and multi-axis
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and programming languages (e.g., G code, M code, Fanuc)
  • Solid knowledge of machining processes, tools, materials, and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to read technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with CAM software, such as Mastercam, Bobcam, etc.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in a manufacturing environment
