As a member of the Platform Engineering team, the TechOps Architect will enable the engineering teams to scale our infrastructure, platform and internal developer tooling of multiple global digital products being developed within Carrier Digital. This role will work on a range of software products critical to Carrier’s continued business growth. As a Senior Cloud Administrator and TechOps lead, you will be working with a team of engineers to implement and support modern software delivery systems as well as design and implementation of cloud native software operations.

KEY SKILLS
You will solve problems in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative delivery environment. You should be an engineer with software delivery experience, and a collaborative style who is able to work with developers and others to understand requirements and implement software delivery solutions that meet architectural guidelines.

Does not believe in reinventing the wheel, instead leveraging the best components that are readily available.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Engineer solutions for Cloud SaaS applications. Establish TechOps Center of Excellence for Carrier Digital. Partner with DevOps and TestOps leadership to ensure alignment with Platform Engineering goals. Lead engineers on the operational challenges related to scalability, reliability, performance and efficiency of our software delivery systems. Help the team and other engineering leaders to continuously improve our operating processes. Ensure we run a cost-effective service, monitor and make changes to hit spending targets. Work directly with the other Digital leaders and your team to define and evolve our architecture. Drive to completion solutions for systems integration. Work with other Platform Engineers to design and implement and maintain scalable, reliable, performant, and efficient systems. Help the team to continuously improve our operating processes. Nurture engineer growth through mentorship.REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
6+ years of professional experience in systems administration. 4+ years of experience is SSO technologies. 4+ years of experience in Active Directory. 4+ years of experience supporting production applications. 4+ years of experience providing escalated on-call support. 4+ years of experience in release management. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.Technical Skills:
Experience in one or more of the following:
Cloud technologies:Okta Administration.AWS IAM.Microsoft Active Directory.Mail Server Administration.Change management best practices.Separation of Duties.Bespoke Application Administration.Zero Trust Networking.Any programming language [js / python preferred].Terraform. Deep domain expertise operating and monitoring high performing, always available, internet scale global applications. Deep expertise in –CloudOps theory and best practices.Building Observable Application.Log Ingestion.FinOps in the Cloud.System Integration.
