About the role

As a Principal Software Development Engineer, you’ll lead the delivery and ongoing support of projects from end-to-end. In addition, you will:

  • Contribute to the design of new features.

  • Review the code of your peers

  • Advocate for standard methodologies

  • Facilitate engineering discussions

  • Mentor junior engineers

  • Participate in an inclusive, energetic and highly multi-functional team.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City, as we recommend attendance at occasional office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for bonuses depending on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Como ingeniero principal de desarrollo de software, liderará la entrega y el soporte continuo de proyectos de principio a fin. Además, usted deberá:

  • Contribuir al diseño de nuevas funcionalidades.

  • Revisar el código de sus compañeros.

  • Abogar por metodologías estándar

  • Facilitar los debates de ingeniería.

  • Capacitar a ingenieros junior.

  • Participar en un equipo inclusivo, enérgico y altamente multifuncional.

Este rol ha sido categorizado como un puesto de teletrabajador. Los teletrabajadores no cuentan con un lugar de trabajo de oficina corporativa permanente y, en cambio, trabajan desde un lugar físico de su elección, el cual debe ser identificado ante la Empresa. Los empleados pueden vivir en cualquier parte de México, con disponibilidad de viajar a Ciudad de México, ya que recomendamos la asistencia a eventos ocasionales en la oficina.

Además de un salario base competitivo y beneficios, este puesto también es elegible para bonos dependiendo de factores como la experiencia, el desempeño y la ubicación.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Who you are

    • Bringing 7+ years of software development experience with Java, Python, NodeJS, and Go for APIs and services.

    • Experienced in a range of persistence strategies including relational and non-relational databases.

    • Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken).  

    • Must be authorized to work in Mexico. 

    • Highly skilled with multiple modern development technologies used to design, deliver, debug, and maintain front-end user interfaces and back-end software systems.

    • Recognized as a technical leader on your team for several years and have an impact beyond your team.

    • Passionate about setting standard methodologies and raising the bar for systems design, testing, code quality, and maintainability - not only for the team but for the entire engineering organization

    • Apasionado por establecer metodologías estándar y elevar la vara para el diseño, las pruebas, la calidad del código y la mantenibilidad de los sistemas, no solo para el equipo sino para toda la organización de ingeniería
