About role
 

Sells a portfolio of the organization's event/exhibit space. Typically sells booth/floor space, sponsorships, directory advertisements and other ancillary media. Manages and is accountable for the performance of: a medium sized team of professional associates, or multiple supervisors of business support / operation roles. Accountable for the budget, performance and results of a medium-sized team or multiple small teams of employees. Develops and adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges; receives minimal guidance from manager. Manages generally homogeneous team(s); adapts plans and sets priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges.
 

Responsabilities
 

Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own areas and knowledge of other areas. Provides subject matter guidance to associates, colleagues, and/or customers. Addresses issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines. Understands how own area contributes to the achievement of objectives and understands industry best practice Exercises full management authority, including performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment, discipline, termination and other personnel actions. Identifies and resolves moderately complex business problems based on the analysis of information. Impacts the level of service and the team’s ability to meet quality, volume and timeliness of objectives. Has responsability for budget and resource planning. Guides, influences and persuades others internally in other business areas or externally with customers or agencies.


Requirements

Have a proven track record in a sales management/leadership role, preferably but not limitable to the events or exhibitions industry. Be adept in leading, motivating, and developing high-performing sales teams, with a focus on coaching and mentorship. Demonstrate the ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that achieve and exceed revenue targets. Display analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and identify revenue opportunities and convey complex information clearly and effectively. Show extensive knowledge of market trends, industry activities, and emerging technologies in the exhibitions and trade show sector. Experienced in analysis of information. Budget management and resource planning.
