About the Role
The Principal Value Analytics Engineer is responsible to define and execute the product value analytics strategy across HARMAN Automotive division considering all regions, business units and customer.
This role will create “competitive advantages “ by elevating Harman’s current direct material focused initiatives to:
Total value analytics approach with coverage onFunctionalityMaterial,LicensesProcessCost of Poor Quality COPQ)Carbon footprint Automotive product portfolio of high technology products which drives around $500MB to $1B in annual material spend at Harman.The role is responsible for optimizing an annual spend of +$500M and expected to deliver +$75M EBIT improvement over multiple years to enable divisional level profitability, sustainability and growth goals
Your Team
This position will report to the Product Value Analytics & Benchmarking lead and will be an individual contributor role with no direct or indirect reports.
What You Will Do
What You Need
Bachelors Degree in Engineering Minimum 10 years work experience in the following areas:Product cost/value engineering of high technology electronics systems preferably within automotiveValue/Cost management of Electrical, (E)/mechanical components and systemsEngineering automotive Electrical, (E)/mechanical componentsProfessional knowledge in electronic, electrical & mechanical component integrated into an assemblyAdvanced manufacturing engineering Minimum 5+ years of experience and ability to influence working with diverse global teams to improve profitability, growth, sustainability, innovation, and time to market commitments. Proven experience in one of the advanced technology automotive or consumer electronics products such as, Connectivity, Audio Proven technical leadership with demonstrated ability to lead and review cost engineering analysis Proven track record of outstanding engaging skills in diverse, cross functional teams including executive stakeholders to embrace continuous improvement in a highly competitive environment. Strong leadership skills with strategic thinking and track record of driving change orientations Exceptional engaging skills in diverse, cross functional teams including Procurement & Engineering leadership to embrace continuous improvement in a highly competitive environment. Change Orientation: Able to adapt to changing demands and conditionsWhat is Nice to Have
