Finality Manage the activity of his/her Autonomous Production Unit by optimising its operational,
quality, cost, deadline and safety performance and by complying with product conformity
requirements and adhering to deadlines required by its customers Main Missions 1 - Manage his/her APU Guarantee the performance of the APU and manage it daily
- Mobilise his/her teams focusing on short- and medium-term objectives to be reached
- Adapt, organise and manage resources assigned to him/her taking into account variable presence/absence data
- Develop organisation and operating modes, encouraging more responsibility and autonomy to improve quality, productivity, flexibility and reactivity
- Manage the platform team specific to the APU
- Guarantee the interface with site support functions
- Optimise the costs of his/her APU and give reasons for choices
Make all operational decisions in his/her field and according to his/her scope of responsibilities
2 - Coordinate daily activity
Ensure communication within the APU and associated units
- Promote collective interest rather than individual interests
- Know the problems encountered by everyone, including operators
- Listen, help employees to understand and analyse the difficulties they encounter
- Help employees to perform tasks by giving tailored advice or by constructively questioning current performance
- With project teams, help to implement a new product or a new technology in his/her APU
Permanently manage and advise employees and coordinate their missions

3 - Energise and develop the production system
Transform his/her APU to adapt it to new requirements and develop either means, organisation or personnel skills in line with HR policy
- Improve overall productivity of processes and flows
- Prepare the APU for product/process developments
- Encourage everyone to contribute to progress (suggestions system, progress projects: 5S, SMED, TPM, kanban, GRP, etc.)
- Attain annual progress targets for his/her APU within the context of medium-term group and site directives
Structure, manage and optimise customer/supplier relations with support departments

4 - Manage his/her activity
Based on the objectives of his/her activity, prepare action plans and coordinate the missions of his/her team in a coherent manner
- Propose an annual operating budget for his/her activity, and ensure that it is adhered to
- Propose the necessary resources for attaining his/her objectives and implement, after approval of Plant Manager, the necessary actions for staff turnover (recruitment, transfers, dismissal/redundancy) and investments according to budgetary forecasts and labour constraints
- Monitor performance indicators for his/her activity, implement corrective actions if necessary and inform his/her teams of them
- Conduct annual performance reviews, set the objectives of his/her employees, then ensure deployment all the way down the hierarchy
- Develop the team's skills for the activity and propose individual and/or group training actions that are necessary to maintain performance levels of activities, in collaboration with the Plant Manager.
- Advise employees on professional development in agreement with the Plant Manager and promote internal mobility
- Propose salary increases in agreement with the Functional Manager within the framework of the group's salary policy
- Praise or condone the actions of employees as necessary
- Ensure that his/her teams remain motivated and that there is a good internal atmosphere
- Check and approve team members' expense claims (travel, etc.) and authorizations for absence/vacations
- Ensure that job descriptions are updated according to group procedures
Provide reports of his/her activity to the Plant Manager
