About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Manager in Training (MIT) in Spa .

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in the wellness and spa industry, a keen interest in spa management, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. The MIT will be responsible for supporting various aspects of administration, creative program development, and strategic initiatives within the spa department.

You will be reporting directly to our Senior Spa Director, and working closely with a dotted line with our Spa Director

About the MIT Program

The MIT program is a 12-month Rotational Program focused on learning and developing functional management skills in a variety of situations so that we can assess their ability and possibly promote YOU to Assistant Manager at the end of the program.

What you will do

Operational and Administration Duties:

Provide support in administrative tasks, including email correspondence, supplier coordination, and documentation. Manage purchase orders, invoices, and maintain relationships with suppliers. Coordinate spa events and promotions by requesting BEO (Banquet Event Order) and ensuring seamless execution. Handling the Department Standard Testing, HotSOS calls and Medallia responses The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts. The ability to train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; daily activities and planning for outlet operation.

Creative:

Assist in generating creative ideas for spa packages and wellness programs. Proficiency in design tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, etc., is a plus. Contribute to the creation of a promotional calendar for spa services and products. Support the execution of engaging content for social media platforms related to spa and wellness.

Strategic:

Monitor and analyze competitor activities, providing insights into international and local trends in spa and wellness. Present analytics to evaluate the performance of spa initiatives and promotions. Contribute to the development and execution of strategic spa marketing plans. Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control.

Other :

Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed. Provide support and assist other departments in a crunch or as circumstances arise. Perform other duties as assigned by direct report.
