Kiewit Mexico offers construction management and engineering services in a variety of markets, including energy, oil, gas, chemicals, terminals, marine works, and mining.
A Piping Designer has to be able to perform with some supervision: Piping designs, layout, sketches, isometrics, general arrangement (plot plan), piping arrangement, 3D equipment modeling etc. The Mid-Level Piping Designer should have experience in engineering projects, be highly technically competent and familiar with current tools/programs/software, and CAD practices.
Responsibilities- Prepare piping designs, pipe rack, hot small-bore piping, hot large bore piping and critical systems including layout, design sketches, isometrics, general arrangement (plot plan), piping arrangement, etc.
- Utilizes industry standards to complete assignments that are large and/or complex. Advises others on proper application of industry standards.
- Able to propose various options including communicating the advantages and disadvantages of each option.
- Performs shop drawing reviews, providing mark-ups, and specifying action.
Requirements
- Experience in 3D modeling (PDS, PDMS, SmartPlant, etc.) drafting software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Smart Plant P&ID, etc.) and model review software (SmartPlant review, Navisworks, Bentley viewer, etc.)
- Understanding of the contract, including components of the document that apply to other disciplines.
- Experience in conceptual design, basic and detail engineering for EPC projects. Must be able to lead/check some design project activities
- Norms: NOMS, CFE, PEMEX, ASME, API, ANS
- Software: PDS PDMS SmartPlant AutoCAD MicroStation, SmartPlant review, Smart Plan P&ID, Naviswork, Bentley Viewer
- English Proficient C1
