The Talent Manager is responsible for aligning individual associate goals with the organization's, ensuring that team members are equipped to meet current and future challenges. This role is essential for enhancing talent satisfaction and retention while driving productivity and innovation within the company. In short, the Talent Manager plays a critical role in fostering a competent and engaged workforce capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
The Talent Manager oversees the complete recruitment process and training programs tailored to the organization’s needs. Collaborating closely with local leaders and the Global Talent Acquisition Leader, this role involves sourcing, recruiting, screening and interviewing candidates to fill organizational roles. Additionally, the Talent Manager works in conjunction with the Organizational and Talent Development Leader and various departments to identify training needs, develop engaging content, and facilitate training sessions that empower employees and contribute to organizational success. This position will support all Mexico sites with frequent travel required.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the hiring needs and create accurate job descriptions.
- Design, develop, and maintain the full life cycle recruitment strategy and onboarding process in consultation with the Global Talent Acquisition Leader using established WireCo resources and tools.
- Partner with internal legal counsel on employment-related issues, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Assess training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers and stakeholders.
- Create, organize, and deliver onboarding, orientation, and skills training for associates, leveraging available WireCo resources. Use diverse formats to engage associates in an interactive learning environment.
- Promote and implement processes to evaluate associates' performance using tools such as Culture Amp. Design and implement mentoring and coaching programs to support associates' professional growth.
- Build and implement a leadership program for future leaders.
- Provide coaching and counseling to management on HR matters through reports, indicators, and feedback to align talent with business needs.
- Maintain comprehensive records of training activities, attendance, assessment results, and retraining requirements.
- Recommend long-term steps to keep HR operations running smoothly and make sure we’re using our development tools effectively to support career growth and mobility across roles and locations.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in recruitment, training and development.
- Conduct talent review and succession planning in consultation with the HR Country Leader, local leaders, and the HRBP, Global Steel Operations Leader.
- Monitor talent management budget to ensure proper expense control in partnership with the HR Country Director.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Lead team to drive the day-to-day execution of HR Talent Acquisition and Training and Development initiatives
- Keep the HR team apprised of departmental and organizational objectives and updates through regular 1-on-1s and staff meetings
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field required
- Proven experience in training and development, with at least 6 years of HR experience focused on Organizational Training and Development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire audience members.
- Experienced in evaluating and researching training options and alternatives
- Skilled in designing and implementing effective training and development
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Travel requirement 10%
