Job Summary:

Support the implementation of a tooling asset management system and process. Partner with Global Business Units, engineering, sourcing, and PG&A to efficiently use Polaris assets and maximize the value of tool life. Support the business process for tooling asset management across all GBUs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the overall Business Process Owner for Tool Asset Management for a highly matrixed organization with multiple functional swim lanes. Daily interaction with assigned suppliers to collect tool condition reports for upload into asset management system. Ensure compliance to data inputs and integrity with external suppliers (75%) and Polaris manufacturing plants (25%) Actively support budget, forecast and spending of sourced component refurbishment and capacity tooling needs for assigned suppliers. Provide suppliers with refurbishment and maintenance reminders at required intervals. Ensure timely initiation and completion of tool refurbishment and maintenance, as well as capacity tooling to prevent production disruptions. Engage in proactive collaboration with NPI sourcing, product planning and engineering to build “remaining tool life” review into program scope evaluation process as a pre-Gate 1 PDP activity. Proactive management of inactive and/or end of life tooling in alignment to long range product plans and service requirements Support active monitoring and analysis of tool life trends (scrap rate planned vs scrap rate actual) to drive business decisions and quality improvement.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain/Operations, preferred Previous materials/Sourcing experience is a plus but is not required.

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced office environment. Limited travel may be required, including international travel.
