The Ops Sup Analyst 1 is an entry-level position responsible for providing operations support services, including but not limited to; record/documentation maintenance, storage & retrieval of records, account maintenance, imaging and the opening of accounts in coordination with the Operations - Core Team.
The role of the Background Screening Analyst is to investigate and gather information on other people, conducting security checks and pre-employment background investigations, determining the qualifications and suitability of the individuals based on the contract requirements.
Analyst must verify information provided by candidates on their new hire application form or on-boarding form, as applicable, and compiling relevant records (i.e. criminal, drug, etc.) about their background.
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in areas of Background Screening support. Responsible for completing confidential background investigations of applicants under consideration for hire by various contracted employers; gathering, compiling and analyzing relevant facts. Researches and conducts confidential investigative backgrounds on applicants; interviews subjects and references by telephone or email; gathering, compiling and analyzing information relevant to position. Assesses data from various databases and information systems to check for inconsistencies related to the applicant's background, financial information, possible criminal history, etc. Analyzes findings and prepares summary reports with appropriate documentation to support recommendations for the applicant. Develops effective report writing techniques in order to prepare clear, accurate and comprehensive evidence documentation. Strong communication skills and techniques, conducts interviews and investigations to ensure extensive information is provided on background. Operate electronic information systems to access data and prepare reports. Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines. Assist with the training and mentoring of new hires. Utilize business acumen to recognize issues, problems and opportunities and recommend actions as needed. Act as a change agent - Identify process gaps, trends, or anomalies, and recommend improvements to existing practices.
