The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated process engineer with hands-on experience developing software solutions for process industries, with strong mathematical and engineering principles. This position will play a key role in the technical development and maintenance of Aspen HYSYS®, the industry-leading software for process modeling, simulation, and optimization.
Your Impact
Design, develop, maintain, and support new and existing capabilities for modeling, simulation, design, and rating of industrial and chemical processes. Keep current with new and developing technologies as they appear in industry and academia and assist in determining the feasibility of implementing new technologies. Collaborate with product managers, product marketing, services team, business support and developers to understand customer needs and translate them into product requirements and specifications. Work closely with customers to understand their engineering work processes and workflow requirements, translating them into successful solutions for their daily operations using our software.
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields (Master’s preferred). 2+ years of industrial and/or academic experience in the development of software for modeling, simulation, and design of chemical, mechanical and/or refining processes. Strong math and analytical skills (background in thermodynamic modeling and numerical methods). Strong coding skills in oriented-object programming languages. Effective communication skills (interpersonal, demonstrated ability to convey complex information in a clear and simple manner, explain and present reports). Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally. Intellectual curiosity with a passion to explore a vast array of problems and applications both within and outside of your area of specialization. Problem-solving ability and attention to details. Experience using software tools for process simulation, design, rating, and costing – experience with AspenTech products is a plus.-
