Quality Coordinator

Summary

The quality coordinator is responsible for implementing quality management strategies, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards, works closely with the production team, engineering, maintenance, HS&E, etc., addressing quality audits, complex problems solving analysis and developing and implementing quality controls procedures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Manage, monitor, and maintain quality control procedures. Ensure that all contractors, subcontractors, and vendors maintain the necessary quality standards as specified in the project documents. Create and maintain quality assurance programs to ensure optimum project outcomes. Manage and oversee quality personnel, determine training needs, and development programs. Create and maintain performance measurement tools to track the performance of quality personnel and contractors. Develop and implement quality assurance plans to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations. Document standard operating procedures, review site documents, and conduct inspections. Develop metrics for quality assurance performance throughout the construction process and operating process, reporting findings to upper management. Documenting various quality control policies. Setting the organization’s goals. Examining raw materials and finding defects in them, in conjunction with quality inspectors and Lab technician. Performing quality checks and tests. Analyzing statistical data as and when required. Reporting all the quality control tests in comprehensible reports. Performing quality controls audits. Resolving any issues and discrepancies. Working in collaboration with the team members.

Other Duties

Implement and maintain LEAN practices to reduce waste and cost. Develop employee training programs. Promote safety within your organization. Suggesting improvements in the materials. Experimenting with products to determine their durability. Complying with the rules and regulations of the company. Conducting quality training sessions and workshops if required

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the laboratory, lab technician and shop floor inspectors - blue collar.

The quality coordinator must be works according to our leadership principles, Put the people first, create clarity and simplify, build bridges and drive growth.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

College degree in engineering, engineering technology, industrial management, business administration, economics, or relevant field. 5+ years of experience in quality management. Solid technical background in quality principles, such as ANSI, ISO, and ASTM standards. Ability to develop and execute plans. Certification in quality management, such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), is a plus. Knowledge of statistical analysis and quality improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Lean, is desirable.

Demonstrate the ability to pay close attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Excellent public speaking and sales skills. Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. Outstanding team management skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Decision-making skills. Proficiency in computer applications skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SAP and others. Knowledge in Quality Management software Strong work ethics.

Essential Physical Job Functions and Work Environment

Not frequently travel is needed, maybe one or two times per year. (Valid passport must be had) Quality management Quality control Quality standards, audits, assessments, and evaluations Change Management This position is to work in the office environment, supporting the manufacturing site.
